Attorney Coltrain instructor for the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractor’s Continuing Education Course

September 10, 2020

Raleigh, North Carolina – Keith Coltrain was a co-instructor for the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors’ (“the Board”) continuing education class on advanced contracting hosted by the Carolinas AGC. The course focused on concerns with typical standardized contract provisions and the ways that these provisions could be modified depending on the role that the person was assuming.  Starting in 2020, North Carolina General Contractors must arrange for one of their qualifiers to obtain at least eight hours of continuing education each year. The Board selects mandatory topics for two hours of the continuing education, and the other six hours are electives. All instructors and course content are approved in advance by the Board. The Carolinas AGC is one of the leading providers of these courses.
